Forrás would like to officially invite you to participate in the 34th Annual Western Canadian Hungarian Folk Festival taking place in Vancouver, BC between Friday, October 5 and Monday October 8th, 2012. As we prepare to make this festival an enriching experience for everyone attending, we would like to share the following details with you so that you may be able to begin necessary plans and preparations. Please stay tuned for continued updates and information on venues, programming and performances. The Forrás Ensemble would like to thank all supporters and sponsors.
The Western Canadian Hungarian Folk Festival
Information:
Activities will be between October 5th and 8th, 2012 however guests are more than welcome to arrive earlier and stay later. Many festival events, including workshops and nightly Táncház will take place at the River Rock Hotel (see below).
Transportation:
The Canada Line’s YVR-Airport Station provides an easy rapid transit link from Vancouver International Airport to the City. Greeters will welcome arrivals at the airport and provide support to ensure swift arrival at the River Rock hotel (Bridgeport Station) which is located three stops from the airport.
The Canada Line might also be your best option to visit the city and seek amenities as central Vancouver is only 3 or 4 stops from the hotel (Bridgeport Station). Should you be arriving by car, there are arrangements for parking which should be made with the hotel in advance.
Accommodation:
The River Rock will be our hotel for this year’s festival. We would like to ask visiting dance groups and other guests to complete their bookings by August 15, 2012. This can be done at the following:

Please ensure you mention you are booking for the Hungarian Festival. Participants will be provided with a competitive rate provided bookings are completed by deadline.
